Spot
Listen for a steady high buzz. Watch for hover, sideways slides, and sudden stops. Birds flap. Planes do not hang in the air.

Detection · Awareness · Curiosity
Most of the time it is ordinary. Sometimes it is not. Octahedrone is the calm plan either way — spot it, document it, stay legal, report if you need to.
Education only — not legal advice.

Listen for a steady high buzz. Watch for hover, sideways slides, and sudden stops. Birds flap. Planes do not hang in the air.
02
Film the drone and your house in the same frame. Note time, height, direction, and what it did. One clean record beats ten vague ones.
03
A drone is an aircraft. Do not throw, laser, jam, or net it. Stay on the ground. A polite conversation often ends it.
04
If it is targeted, repeated, or unsafe, use official channels with your log. Pattern plus evidence is what gets acted on.

Field notes
Detection
No special gear. Listen first, then look, then watch the pattern. You only need to decide if it is likely a drone — and if it is hanging around.
Legal
Do not try to bring it down. Document it. Report harassment or unsafe flying through official channels. Overflight is not automatically illegal.
Record
If you only say there was something in the sky, nothing happens. A simple, specific record is what makes a complaint useful.
No. You do not own the sky above your property. A pilot can overfly private land if they stay inside the local aviation rules — typically visual line of sight, under the local height limit, and not over crowds in ways the rules forbid. Persistent, targeted, or unsafe flying can still be a problem. Overflight alone is not enough.
No. Interfering with an aircraft is illegal. Do not throw things, shine a laser, jam the signal, or catch it with a net. Those videos get views. They also get people charged.
Stay on the ground. Film the drone with a landmark in frame. Write time, height, and direction. Screenshot a Remote ID app if anything shows up. Do not chase it. Then decide whether this was a pass-through or a pattern.
If someone is in danger now, call emergency services. For privacy, harassment, or voyeurism, local police. For unsafe flying, airport issues, or rule-breaking, your national aviation authority. Stick to facts from your log.
No. Remote ID is like a digital number plate, and many drones must broadcast it — but small, older, or non-broadcasting aircraft will not appear. Range is limited. Buildings get in the way. Apps are a layer, not the whole plan.
No. Octahedrone is education and a practical record-keeping system. Privacy rules vary by country. Your job is a clean record and official channels — not to be the lawyer.
